Has Ethereum hit bottom? What THIS metric says about ETH’s future

Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, has experienced significant price fluctuations over the past year. Investors and analysts are keenly observing various metrics to determine whether ETH has reached its price floor and to gauge its future trajectory.

Current Market Sentiment and Metrics

Recent data indicates a shift in market sentiment towards Ethereum. Notably, the futures premium for ETH has declined to a one-year low, suggesting that professional traders anticipate potential further downside or are adopting a cautious stance.

Conversely, on-chain metrics present a more optimistic outlook. The Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) ratio, which assesses whether an asset is overvalued or undervalued, has dipped below 1. An MVRV ratio under 1 typically indicates that ETH is undervalued, potentially signaling a buying opportunity.

Investor Behavior and Accumulation Patterns

Investor behavior further supports the notion of a potential bottom. Ethereum accumulation addresses have added approximately 2.11 million ETH in March alone, reflecting increased confidence among long-term holders.  Additionally, the supply of ETH on exchanges has declined to a 10-year low of 8.71 million ETH, suggesting reduced selling pressure.

Technical Indicators and Price Predictions

Technical analysis reveals that ETH is trading below the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average (SMA), with key support identified at $1,865.  This positioning implies that while there is potential for upward movement, ETH must overcome significant resistance levels to confirm a bullish trend.

Looking ahead, various analysts have provided price predictions for Ethereum:

Changelly forecasts that ETH could surpass $6,100 by 2025 and potentially reach up to $12,000 by 2030.

CoinDCX anticipates that Ethereum’s price could close 2025 within the range of $5,500 to $5,700, marking its yearly high.

DeepSeek AI projects that ETH could attain a price range of $13,846 to $15,385 by the end of 2025.
